You might get the reaction that you have seen this type of art before. This image is typical of Impressionist Art. Why is it called impressionism? Impressionist artists are not trying to paint a reflection of real life, but an 'impression' of what the person, light; atmosphere, object or landscape might look like to them.
Dita Hagedorn is a great example of an Impressionist artist using her photographic form of Digital Photo Art. Her work is a variety of genuinely abstract and unusual ideas. She loves nature, architecture and looking for anything that captures her interest, capturing the beauty in mundane objects and places, inspired by colours, shapes and textures.
Using a camera, artistic lenses, camera techniques and editing software to create her work. She creates interesting shapes that she has in mind and by selecting certain colours that maybe muted to bring harmony and softness into an image. She often uses ICM (intentional camera movement) or multiple exposures to disguise the objects and transport them into another world. You can truly see her originality in every image.
To Dita, the possibilities of editing photographs are endless. It’s like stepping out of the normal into a sometimes blurry world of unreal places and things. We are all creative and have stories to tell. I hope you enjoy Dita’s work today.
